Stainless steel edge on Granite (http://tanbrown.org)

Hi all,
Has anyone ever used a 2 inch wide strip of stainless steel to edge Granite (http://tanbrown.org) Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) tops? I would like to trim my kitchen Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) top with 2 inch brushed SS (probably the only way I can afford Granite (http://tanbrown.org) on that Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) !) Do you think I can silicone or apoxy the SS to the Granite (http://tanbrown.org) and (http://maplered.com) plywood or should I also use Counter (http://GialloFiorito.com) sunk SS screws?
